2019 Yard & Bake Sale

A special Thank You to all of you who so generously . . . .

  • donated items for the yard sale,
  • baked for the bake table,
  • attended Saturday and purchased items, and
  • for the many hands it took for set-up, pricing, selling, and clean-up.

A special thank you also to the Hampton Community Association for placing notice of the sale on the sign in front of Hampton Hall.

It was a great success due to everyone’s generosity!

2018 Festival of Faith

Festival of Faith Widget GraphicThe United Church of Canada’s 43rd General Council

The 43rd General Council of The United Church of Canada ran from  July 21 ~ 27th, 2018 at DurhamCollege / University of Ontario Institute of Technology, in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The theme was “Risking Faith, Daring Hope.”

It kicked of with the Festival of Faith ~ July 21 & 22.

Both Eldad and Hampton United Churches attended the Opening Worship Service on Sunday, July 22.  Our own Rev Ned was honoured to be asked to assist with communion, below photo shows Rev Ned (he’s in the grey stripped shirt) heading off to his assigned area.

If you were unable to attend the Opening Worship Service and would like to view it, you can watch it below.

2018 Spring is here!

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day Geraniums – everyone was invited to bring a geranium plant(s) on Mother’s Day in honour/memory of their Mother/Grandmother. Upon arrival plant stakes and cards where available to write who was being honoured and inserted into the plant. Then you placed your plant in a window or at the front of the church — after May 24th they would be planted in the church flower beds and planters by Barb and Karen.

Spring Clean-Up

Spring clean-up day took place inside and outside the church.  Notice the front door,  the metal railings and flower urns were all given a fresh coat of paint. Sidewalks were weeded and edged. Windows inside and out were cleaned. A new container was placed at the back entrance to hide the recycling and garbage containers earlier in the month. The list goes on and on….

Thanks to everyone who came out and added their elbow grease to the project, many hands make light work!

As you can see by the photos below the end results make the church a place that invites you in.

2017 Christmas Eve Service

There is nothing more that brings in those heartwarming feelings of Christmas and the Birth of our saviour “Christ” than the feelings triggered by sound, touch, smell, and sight, than attending the Christmas Eve Service every year.

2017 Christmas Eve Photo Orignial Size

Imagine the music of “Silent Night” filling the church as everyone raised their voices in praise and candlelight filled the church.
