~ Hampton Women United (HWU)
Meet monthly, after the 9:15 a.m. church service concludes, around 10:30 a.m. We’ll stay upstairs, masked and socially distanced to keep everyone safe. Approx. 1 hour. All women welcome! Check Calendar Page for next date.
Meetings begin with prayer and a devotional. Followed by correspondence, treasurer’s report, discussion and decisions on new and old business pertaining to upcoming church ministries, events, fundraising, dinners, and items of interest to the group.
History: When it became apparent we could no longer support our wider UCW commitments due to our dwindling membership, Hampton’s UCW was regrettably disbanded. Upon reflection, it was deemed that the women of the church still needed to connect to plan for upcoming events, dinners, as well as, for faith and fellowship. We, therefore, created a new group called “Hampton Women United”.

~ Mission & Service (M&S)
“We can accomplish more together than we ever can alone. 
The people of the United Church pool their gifts in the Mission and Service Fund (M&S). This fund is used for our national and global mission with partners, our justice and peace advocacy, and our efforts to care for the environment.”
Each year at our Annual Congregational meeting, Hampton United Church pledges an amount for the Mission and Service Fund. We raised just over $1,411 for M&S towards our 2021 goal of $2,000.
